I have an interest in book investment so that's why I will be so excited knowing the book fair in the Mall. I can waste much time just for searching of the book.

Over his lifetime, Stephen inspired millions with the power of universal principles. As he traveled the globe many times over, his message was a simple one: for true success and meaning in life, we must be principle-centered in all areas of life. A teacher at heart, he often taught: "there are three constants in life: change, choice and principles."

From the oval office, the board room, community halls and to the school house and family room, Stephen taught the mindset, skillset and toolset found in the 7 habits of Highly effective people, his seminal work. His legacy is woven in the 7 habits, and, just as these habits are universal and timeless, so is Stephen r. Covey, who is admired around the world for his simple, yet powerful, universal, timeless teachings.

Recognized as one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential Americans, Stephen R. Covey was one of the world’s foremost leadership authorities, organizational experts, and thought leaders.

Covey was the author of acclaimed books, including the international best seller, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which has sold more than 25 million copies in 40 languages throughout the world. Other best sellers authored by Covey include First Things First, Principle-Centered Leadership, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families, and The 8th Habit: From Effectiveness to Greatness.

Covey held a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Harvard University and a doctorate from Brigham Young University. The Pursuit Of Happiness, My Inspiring Movie

Kalau membaca judul dari tulisan ini, aku ingin sharing sedikit mengenai Film berdasarkan kisah nyata yang sangat emosional diperankan apik oleh Will Smith. Waktu itu aku menonton di channel TV Kabel. Film yang bercerita tentang Chris Gardner yang lahir dan tumbuh di kemiskinan, karena kemiskinan itulah membuat Gardner besar menjadi pribadi yang kuat. Dia menikahi seorang wanita kemudian memiliki satu anak laki. Namun dalam perjalanan hidupnya, Gardner selalu mengalami kegagalan sehingga hutangnya semakin bertumpuk dan dia harus menerima kenyataan bahwa istrinya pergi meninggalkannya berdua bersama anak lakinya yang masih berusia 5 tahun.


Kegagalan demi kegagalan dia alami sampai harus kehilangan rumah,, eposide ini lah yang membuatku semakin emosional. Chris Gardner dan anaknya sering berpindah-pindah lantaran homeles..suatu ketika mereka harus tidur di dalam kamar mandi. Gardner menangis setelah anaknya terlelap tidur. Aku termehek-mehek lihat adegan yang satu ini.

Aku sudah bisa menebak endingnya pasti bahagia. Gardner yang tak pernah mau putus asa,, selalu menggunakan kesempatan dengan baik, akhirnya dia bisa mencapai impiannya. Kini Chris Gardner menjadi Pialang Saham sukses yang kemudian mendirikan perusahaan sendiri yaitu Gardner Rich & Co, di Chicago, Illinois Amerika Serikat.

Pelajaran yang dapat dipetik dari kisah perjalanan hidup seorang Christopher Gardner yang dulunya gelandangan, kemudian bisa menjadi milyader dan pialang saham yang sukses, adalah buah dari ketekunan, kerja keras serta keyakinan bahwa Chris Gardner bisa sebagai 'Pemenang"..

Apapun itu mimpi kita, kita bisa menggapainya asalkan nikmati semua prosesnya.
